30 Day Metabolism Boost Challenge-Day 1
My company, Avon, just released their new Health & Wellness line called Espira. Representatives who attended the annual conference in August were given some of the products in the line to begin using ahead of the nationwide launch, so I began taking the Restful Sleep, Calm and 40+ Women’s daily vitamins. I use the Restful Sleep to help me with leg cramps and to, well, sleep more restfully. I take the Calm as needed, and though I’m not typically an anxious person, I love all the B vitamins in it, and it does help me stay balanced. The Women’s 40+ vitamins are for post-menopausal women, and I noticed a big difference in the health of my fingernails when I was taking them regularly.
All of the products in the Espira line are gluten-free, non-GMO, and plant based.
Avon has challenged it’s US reps to take the metabolism boost system for 30 days, so I am going to try to post my thoughts and results here each day.
I also just started Intermittent Fasting, so I’m incorporating both starting today, January 4, 2018.
But, I must also say, I took the 3 day Ideal Cleanse back in December, so today, I’m starting with the Metabolism Boost and the Hunger Block.
I took the Metabolism Boost this morning, which the recommended dose is 2 capsules. If you’re sensitive to caffeine, Avon suggests taking 1 capsule. As mentioned above, I’m also doing Intermittent Fasting (IF), so I was fasting when I took them. I didn’t notice any adverse reactions, like nausea or jitters from taking them on an empty stomach, which was one of my worries.
I went to watch my 4 grandkids for the morning, and I had 2 cups of coffee, but still did not experience any jitters or nausea. I had energy to play with the kids and even do a little cleaning for my daughter.
About 4pm this afternoon, I took the Hunger Block, which the recommended dosage is 2 capsules before your largest meal, with 8 oz. of water. Then I ate some weird concoction my mother made for dinner, which I would call hamburger Alfredo? I probably had a 1/4 cup of the Alfredo mixture and let me tell you, I am full. I have found this happens to me, though, since starting IF. So, I’m not sure if it’s the IF or the Hunger Block. I’ll keep using it though and continue to log my experience.
I have also used the Plant Power Protein shakes in the system. My favorite recipe is:
Makes enough for 2 people, plus a little more
1 Scoop Each of the Cream Vanilla and Rich Chocolate Plant Power Protein
2 cups Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
1 TBSP Peanut Butter
1 cup water
Ice for desired thickness
Blend in blender for best results
I will try to drink one shake a day, but I wasn’t home today to make one, but if I get hungry before my eating window is up, I may have a shake for my snack.
I started IF, December 28, 2017 and lost 5 lbs before starting the 30 Day Challenge. I’m hoping combining both will be of great benefit and that the Metabolism Boost will give me more energy and that the Hunger Block will help me eat less food during my eating window. We shall see!!!
